Marie Hellard is a judge for the Anderson, Shelby and Spencer Counties Family Court of the 53rd Judicial Circuit. It serves Anderson, Shelby, and Spencer counties in Kentucky.

Hellard was elected in 2014 to an eight-year term commencing on January 5, 2015, and expiring on January 1, 2023. [1]

Hellard ran for election to the 53rd Judicial Circuit.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 45.3 percent of the vote. She competed against incumbent Judge John David Myles and Susan M. Meschler.
General: She defeated incumbent Judge John David Myles in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 63.1 percent of the vote. [2][3] 

Education

Hellard received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and her J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law.[4]

Career

Prior to her judicial election in 2014, Hellard worked as an attorney in private practice and served as a trial commissioner for Anderson County.[4][5]
