Marilyn Shea-Stonum
Marilyn Shea-Stonum was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Northern District of Ohio. She joined the court in September 1994, and was reappointed for a four-year term in January 2008. Judge Shea-Stonum was elevated to the position of chief judge in January 2008, and succeeded in her role as chief by Judge Pat E. Morgenstern-Clarren in January 2012. Judge Shea-Stonum announced in May 2013 that she would retire within one year's time.[1][2][3] Shea-Stonum retired from the court on May 1, 2014.[4]
Education
Judge Shea-Stonum earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University.[5]
Career
Prior to her appointment as a bankruptcy judge, Judge Shea-Stonum focused her practice on bankruptcy matters at Jones Day as a partner.[3]
