What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1) Fully Fund Education in sustainable ways. Education is the cornerstone to success in Oklahoma. Businesses and families will not stay unless we get back to excellence in education. We have great teachers, we need to keep them. 2) Transparency and accountability within agencies and overall government spending. Update systems and do what has to be done in order to know what is being spent and where as well a what is underfunded and needs attention. 3) Mental health and substance abuse; child welfare; domestic violence; prison reform - so many of these are woven together it's hard for me to separate them so I'm putting them together.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I know we have to be better overall. Oklahoma is known for it's standard in times of disaster "the Oklahoma Standard". I believe we can hold to that standard in everyday times as well as times of disaster. We have to work together. We need to communicate with one another - across party lines, neighborhood to neighborhood, city to town, chamber to chamber and agency to agency. We need to focus on how we are the same not how we are different and learn to work together. We are better together. Increased communication and transparency in our actions will help a great deal. I hope to help facilitate the conversation.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
I am not a career politician. Actually, I don't consider myself a politician at all. I am pro-life conservative follower of Christ. I come from a nursing and non-profit background. I believe I bring a different voice to the table. I don't think we have to reinvent the wheel all the time. I'm a person who asks a lot of questions. I like to know and understand before I make a decision. I am a very practical, commonsense person with a good head on her shoulders. I have a variety of life experience. I believe all of this when put together could be very important and extremely beneficial in this office and to the future of Oklahoma.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
