A Marion City Public Safety Services Income Tax Increase question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Marion County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.

This question authorized the city of Marion to increase income taxes by 0.25% in order to fund police and fire protection services and street improvements.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall the Ordinance providing for an additional 0.25 of 1% levy on income for the purpose of Safety Services at a rate of one quarter of one percent for the following : Police Department (40%); Fire Department (40%); Dispatcher Services/Disaster Services (10%); Street Improvements (10%), be passed?[1][2]
