Marion F. Edwards (Democratic Party) served on the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal until he reached Louisiana's mandatory retirement age in 2012.[1] When Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal Judge Robert M. Murphy retired in 2018, the Louisiana Supreme Court appointed Edwards to serve in his old court on an interm basis until the special election to fill Murphy's seat was held on November 6, 2018.[2]

Judge Edwards is a member of the Jefferson Bar Association.[3]
