Marion Sorlien was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 17 of the South Dakota House of Representatives.[1]

Elections for the South Dakota House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbent Ray Ring and Marion Sorlien were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Nancy Rasmussen and Jamie Boomgarden were unopposed in the Republican primary. Boomgarden withdrew before the general election, and was replaced by Sheri Kaufman on the general election ballot. Rasmussen and Ring defeated Kaufman and Sorlien in the general election.[1][2][3]

Sorlien ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 17. Sorlien ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5 and was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[4]
