Biography
Prior to her election to the state board, Perez-Diaz served as the director of external affairs for IDEA Public Schools. Before that, she had worked as the government and community relations specialist at the San Antonio Independent School District. Before going into education, Perez-Diaz worked at the state's Department of Family and Protective Services.[1]
