I am a businesswoman and mother. I entered this race in response to seeing violence and increasing levels of both physical unsafely and financial struggle. I believe a safe home and family are the foundation of a community's growth, safety, and long term success.

I was a nanny for local families from age 11 until I had my son at 23. My first official job was at a small local bakery, serving sweet treats.
The current budget is not transparent, and I would go so far as to say misleading at certain points. Whether or not this is intentional, it makes it difficult for the community to make informed decisions. It's critical to be accountable by providing accurate information to those who our decisions impact.

Noteworthy events

Assault charge (2024)

On June 21, 2024, Simonetti was booked into the Hennepin County jail and charged with one count of misdemeanor fifth-degree assault following a tenant dispute. Simonetti made her first court appearance on June 24, 2024, and she was released without bail under the condition that she not have contact with her accuser.[2]

In a video posted on X on June 24, 2024, Simonetti indicated that she was still running for county commissioner in District 6.[3]

On October 17, 2024, Simonetti was arraigned in Hennepin County District Court on one count of misdemeanor fifth-degree assault. A pre-trial date was scheduled for January 9, 2025. Simonetti indicated that she planned to plead not guilty.[4]
