|- I believe that the culture in law enforcement must change and to accomplish this I need your support. Only by standing together can we make the next four years different, with an office that acts as public servants and not an occupying force.
- Equality should be a standard not an option. Under my leadership the Constable's Office will treat civilians differently based on race, religion, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, social or economic status, citizenship status, or country of origin.
- In addition to their ongoing state mandated training, all Deputies will receive ongoing training regarding de-escalation methods and mental health awareness.
We need to break the stigma associated with mental health disorders. Open dialogue and education regarding mental health is lacking in law enforcement. Police officers are at a high risk for mental health disorders, addiction and even suicide. We need to protect those who protect us. It is important to make counseling and mental health resources more accessible to all Precinct 5 employees. If the Constable's Office has access to the resources needed, we can better serve our community.
