My commitment and desire to serve as a public servant came from my parents and lived experience. My family emigrated from the Philippines seeking a better life and instilled a belief that education creates opportunities and a pathway to success. As an academic advisor at UC Irvine, I worked and earned degrees in Political

Science and Social Sciences. I pursued a master's degree in Public Policy from UCLA and completed my second master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Arizona.

As a former GGUSD educator, I have the unique perspective of seeing the challenges and needs of our students, parents, and teachers. I will support our teachers so they have all the necessary tools and training to provide the best education for our children. GGUSD's student population is diverse with diverse needs, and I will advocate for expanding career and technical education opportunities for all students.

I have dedicated myself to serving and improving the community by bridging relationships with social services programs, school districts, businesses, and our elected officials.
  • Expand resources supporting our vocational, technical and dual immersion programs to meet the needs of our diverse students.
  • Bring additional healthcare and wellness resources to our schools.
  • Increase access to afterschool programs, fields, and green space for our youth.
My interest is for all our students to have the resources necessary and support they need to receive a high-level quality education. I have been a champion in ensuring our students have access to healthcare services and will push for greater benefits to address the mental health needs of our students and teachers. As an educator that has taught in the district, I want to also ensure that our teachers and administrative staff have the support that will allow them to better serve and teach our children.
