Campaign themes

2014

Armijo's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[2]

Quality Education

  • Excerpt: "Our children are our most vital resource and there must be proper funding to provide them a good education. It starts with quality early childhood education programs and should lead to a focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in our high schools. This will better prepare our youth for post-secondary education as well as helping drive workforce development."

Healthier Community

  • Excerpt: "Our community faces several health challenges and more options are needed to ensure all residents have access not only to good quality healthcare, but also healthy food choices and safe environments to play and exercise."

Better Quality of Life

  • Excerpt: "The South Valley is a great community! However there are many challenges that the district faces, from road repairs and infrastructure renewals to water use and conservation to economic development and jobs and many more. The district needs a new voice to fight for these needs and wants to make it all that it can be and more!"
