Biography

Mark Price was born in Detroit, Michigan.[5] Price was elected to the board of education for the Highland Park School District in 2020. His experience on the school board includes serving on the High School and Fundraising Committees.[6] Price also has experience working as a City Charter Revision Commissioner for Highland Park, Michigan.[7]

Elections for the Michigan State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Incumbent Bert Johnson defeated Georgia Lemmons, Taras Nykoriak and John Olumba in the Democratic primary. Mark Price was unopposed in the Republican primary. Johnson defeated Price and Jeff Hall (I) in the general election.[8][9][1][2]

I am Mark Ashley Price. I am a current School Board member and a former City Charter Revision Commissioner of Highland Park, Michigan. I was appointed to fill a vacancy on the City Charter Revision Commission by the other members and took office in October 2016. The proposal City Charter the commission made was passed in a special election in May 2019, in which I help bring term limits to Highland Park, Michigan as a City Charter Revision Commissioner. I was elected in November 2020 and took office in January 2021 as a School Board member of Highland Park, Michigan. I also have been active involve in the Republican Party for many years including (but not limited to) as a Precinct Delegate off and on since 2006 and the 2nd Vice Chairperson of the Republican Party of Wayne County, Michigan. I also was elected as a Precinct Delegate in 2018 in the Libertarian Party when the Libertarian Party was considered a "major political party" in Michigan in 2018. I am a Wiccan and a member of the LGBT+ community (I consider myself Bi-Gender and Bi-sexual). Libertarianism and Anarchism are my political ideologies, limited to no government.
