Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My plan was never politics, but I could no longer sit idly by and let our current elected officials ignore the needs of ALL the great people in this District. Government should be for, and benefit, everyone. Not just a select few. I know that to make a difference in your community, you have to know when to stand strong for what you believe and when you must put aside your differences to work together. I decided to run for office because I knew it was time for the Ohio Statehouse to once again reflect the values of our district. As your State Representative, I am bringing my expertise and fresh perspective to fight for the future of families like yours and mine. My ability to work with diverse groups of people has allowed me to accomplish real change. Change that benefits everyone.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Every Person. Every Voice. Government should work for, and represent, ALL its constituents. Not a select few.
• Healthcare is a right. Not a privilage. No one should be denied healthcare because of their inability to pay.
• Gun Safety laws are a must. Sensible Gun Legislation is needed to save lives.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Gun Safety, Healthcare, and Education.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to my grand parents. Both were born with very little and worked very hard to provide for their family.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

The biggest responsibility in this role is to represent the interests of the people, and not special interest groups, or the Party.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like my legacy to be that I helped people. That I cared enough to take a stand when it mattered most.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

Janis Joplin - Piece of my Heart

What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?

Healthcare. Healthcare, and its rising costs, are costing people their lives. This can't continue.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

The ability to partner with anybody is crucial in life, and the legislature. Differing opinions are important. The ability to listen without judgement is so important.

Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
