Cavanagh earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law.[1]

Career

Prior to his election to the Second District Court of Appeals, Cavanagh served as a special assistant attorney general and as an assistant Wayne County prosecutor. He also previously worked as an attorney in private practice.[1]
