Biography
Mark Cisneros was born in Los Angeles, California.[1] Cisneros' career experience includes owning Shop 2 Drop and Bella Boutique and working as a park ranger, a notary public, and a commercial truck driver.[1][2] He has served as the co-chair of the Muscatine County Republican Party, the Iowa state director of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, and the development director of the Muscatine Soccer Club.[2]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. John Dabeet was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Gary Carlson defeated Mark Cisneros in the Republican primary. Dabeet faced Carlson in the general election.[3][4] Carlson defeated Dabeet in the general election.[5]
