Mark E. Hammitte
Mark E. Hammitte is a judge on the Marion County District Court in Alabama. His current term expires in 2018.
Education
Hammitte received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1982. For the next fifteen years, he worked as an engineer. In 1997, Hammitte earned a J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law.[1]
Career
Hammitte began his law career with the firm Fite, Davis, Atkinson, Guyton & Bentley. Five years later, he started his own firm, called Hammitte and Hunt LLC.[1]
2012 election
Hammitte defeated Paige N. Vick in the Republican primary on March 13, winning 60.97% of the vote. He was re-elected after running unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2] [3][4]
