The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Jonathan Michalski was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Stephen Huffman defeated Joe LeMaster and Mark E. Williams in the Republican primary. Huffman defeated Michalski in the general election.[2]
