Mark Ferrandino
Mark Ferrandino is a former Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 2 from 2007 to 2015. He served as State Speaker of the House from 2013 to 2014. Ferrandino did not seek re-election in 2014.
Biography
Ferrandino's professional experience includes working as a Senior Budget Analyst with the Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy and Financing, as a Program Analyst with the US Department of Justice, as a Policy Analyst with the White House Office of Management and Budget and serving as Treasurer of the Colorado Democratic Party from 2005-2007.[1]

Political courage tests
Ferrandino provided answers to the Colorado State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test informs voters how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected. When asked his legislative priorities he said:
"I will continue to work to protect consumer from predatory lending by re-introducing legislation that will limit the interest rate on payday loans to 45% down from the current rate of 521%. In addition, I will work to solve the fiscal problems in our state's constitution that limit our ability to invest in our state's future."[3]
Elections
2012
Ferrandino won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 2. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 26, 2012. He defeated TJ Tyrrell (R) and Desiree Maikranz (L) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4]
2010
Ferrandino ran for re-election to the 2nd District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the August 10 primary. Ferrandino defeated Doc Miller (R) in the November 2 general election.

2008
On November 4, 2008, Ferrandino won re-election to the 2nd District seat in the Colorado House of Representatives, defeating opponent Thomas C. Miller (R).[5]
Ferrandino raised $45,426 for his campaign, while Miller raised $3,087.[6]
