Mark A. Goldsmith is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He was appointed to the court by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate in June 2010.

Early life and education

Judge Goldsmith graduated from the University of Michigan in 1974 with a B.A., and graduated from Harvard University Law School in 1977 with a J.D.[1][2]

On February 4, 2010 President Barack Obama nominated Goldsmith to a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.[4][5]

Goldsmith received a rating of Unanimously Well Qualified from the American Bar Association.[6]
