Respect. Respond. Serve. These three calls form the mission that has driven me all my life, from childhood to adulthood, through entrepreneurship and civic engagement. In the thirty-seven years I have lived in Troy, I have started a restaurant franchise, started a Christmas light company, I am real estate broker and own an Insurance Loss control company with all these in mind; even now as I look towards holding public office, the call to respect, respond, and serve continues to inform my path. This business resume helps me understand the many challenges several industries have in this state.

I am married and have adult children. One is still attending University of Michigan. I have been a small business owner for 37 years in Troy, Clawson, Royal Oak, Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills. I am currently serving in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Currently I serve on my Home Owners Association, a Dads club supporting High School students, and am in the Knights of Columbus. In the past I was a Big Brother in the Big Brother/Little Brother organization, served as a counselor for Crossroads and organization dedicated to getting homeless off the streets, jobs and back in society being productive.

I have worked in Lansing for 8 years under Governor Engler.

I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree and am an Adjunct Professor.

When elected I will bring to Lansing my experience of working in Government, budgets and management. You deserve someone with experience whom will be fier
  • • Economy-Economy-This is a non-partisan issue. The decisions that have been made and not made have hurt all of us. The decision to increase the budget, to not cut the gas tax or the sales tax on gas. There have also been regulations put on small business and a lot of red tape that make Michigan not an attractive to those whom want to start a business here. These decisions were made while there has been over a 6 Billion dollar surplus. How has that helped us, it has not. We are living in the worst economic times in over 40 years. I have 37 years of Small business experience. I worked for Governor Engler for 8 years. I know how tough it is to fight and make changes on budgets. You need a representative with experience whom will fight wi
  • ● Public Education- In my family I have several family members whom are teachers. What is happening in Michigan to our children’s experience in schools is a travesty. It is also terrible for the teachers. Teachers are leaving the industry and are not paid enough. We can’t attract enough new teachers. I would push for more of the budget to be spent on Teachers pay. There seems to be enough for social programs. More needs to be spent on mental health for students. The Teachers have pressure to cover all of the content an inch deep and a mile wide, instead of developing a deeper understanding of the skills and concepts. I would support the focus on the subjects we parents know will make our children educated for the work place and be succ
  • • Roads and Infrastructure- This is truly another budget issue. The money has been there. Michigan has not allocated the money despite all the promises. There is also not enough control given to local governments to spend the money on the roads. Throughout 56th district we see road construction with Asphalt. It is just for the show. We know this, asphalt breaks down and needs replacement much sooner. More importantly it produces greenhouse gases Instead of fixing the roads it is a bandage. "The process of melting asphalt creates greenhouses gasses, which contribute to environmental pollution. This happens regardless of new production or recycling. Asphalt is a cheaper and faster solution for short-term projects, but the repairs are som
My priorities in public policy include the Budget, education, roads, infrastructure, and election integrity.

I have the background to fight for the correct allocation of our tax money. That will help with education and the roads and infrastructure. It will also help us the tax payers. I am tired of being treated as though we are here to work for government; I believe government should work for us. We are not their employees they are ours.

My endorsements include Health Alliance, Insurance Alliance, Citizens for Traditional Values, Right to Life, Greater Metro Association of Realtors, the Association of Builders and Contractors of Michigan, and Michigan Corn
