For over 20 years I have represented Dallas County as a County Commissioner. Our county has grown from 40,000 residents to over 100,000 over my time in leadership. I am ready to take that local government experience to the Iowa Legislature.
  • Economic growth and prosperity for the citizens of Iowa. Maintaining a business climate that will continue to see Iowa attract investment from around the world.
  • Strong focus on public education to make sure we have job opportunities for all our youth. An educated workforce will be needed to maintain our leadership role in attracting business investment to Iowa.
  • Develop policies to keep our communities safe and secure. We want all of our citizens to thrive and share their unique cultures with their neighbors.
My father. He was a school superintendent that administered over a growing school district. He knew the teachers, parents and employees by name. Even as bond issues for new schools were passed and newer schools added he never forgot his roots. The employees and teachers served and lead the district with the same degree of dedication and commitment he exhibited.
Listen to as many viewpoints as possible to help arrive at best policy.
