Mark Hofstad

Mark Hofstad is a judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He currently serves in the Felony Division. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Charlie Crist on May 24, 2010. He replaced Judge Randall McDonald, who retired at the end of July. Hofstad was elected in 2012 to a full term that expires in January 2019.[1][2][3][4][5]
Education
Hofstad received his undergraduate degree from Moorhead State College (Minnesota) and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law (California).[2]
Career
Hofstad began his career in 1985 as an assistant state attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit. He then served as staff counsel to Fireman's Fund Insurance from 1990 until 2000, when he became a judge of Compensation Claims. He worked in that capacity until his appointment to the circuit court in 2010.[2]
2012 election
Hofstad was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[6]
