- Strong leadership - Throughout my military career I have had to face some hard decisions and from that brings experience of having to weigh out a choice based on what is best for everyone/mission instead of the easy choice or something that would only benefit a few. I am willing to listen and hear your concerns and I will take them back to Charleston with me and fight for what is best for District 9 and West Virginia.
- Strong Christian values - I stand up for what I believe and will defend it to the end. We need strong Christian men/women in Charleston willing to stand up for our values and God given rights.
- Fiscal restraint - Being good stewards of the taxpayers money is a large part of what I will focus on while in Charleston. I will push for and support lower taxes so that each West Virginian can put more of their hard earned money in their pockets. I fight to eliminate wasteful spending and to stop funding things that taxpayers should not be funding.
