Biography

Mark Kimball served in the U.S. Air Force from 2002 to 2016. Kimball graduated from St. Mary's High School. Kimball earned an associate degree from the Community College of the United States Air Force in 2013. Kimball's career experience includes working in public service.[1]

I am a Christian husband and been married to my wonderful wife, Clarissa, for 18 years. We have 4 boys together, Landon, Isaac, Elijah and Caden. I served in the United States Air Force for 13 years as a Security Forces Member (MP). I have dedicated my life to service of others, not only through the military but in civil and personal roles. In the past I have been a VP of the Pleasants County Mat Boosters, proud supporter of 4H and FFA, was a City of St. Marys, WV Council member, I have been a trustee and am currently serving as a deacon of my church. My platform is an expression of my core values as a Christian man and Republican. It is also a snapshot in time, an historical artifact for future generations to know what I stood for and what I believed. I believe, as the Declaration of Independence states, that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” I stand on the traditional American values: strong national defense, personal responsibility, support for law enforcement and the rule of law, fiscal restraint, economic freedom, free enterprise, and traditional family values.
  • Strong leadership - Throughout my military career I have had to face some hard decisions and from that brings experience of having to weigh out a choice based on what is best for everyone/mission instead of the easy choice or something that would only benefit a few. I am willing to listen and hear your concerns and I will take them back to Charleston with me and fight for what is best for District 9 and West Virginia.
  • Strong Christian values - I stand up for what I believe and will defend it to the end. We need strong Christian men/women in Charleston willing to stand up for our values and God given rights.
  • Fiscal restraint - Being good stewards of the taxpayers money is a large part of what I will focus on while in Charleston. I will push for and support lower taxes so that each West Virginian can put more of their hard earned money in their pockets. I fight to eliminate wasteful spending and to stop funding things that taxpayers should not be funding.
