Konrardy participated in the following survey conducted by the Marshfield News-Herald. The questions provided by the Marshfield News-Herald appear bolded, and Konrardy's responses follow below.

Why are you seeking election?

I feel that I can bring a lot to the board in the way of overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds with my background. The technology education and agricultural programs are dear to my heart, and I see the long-term benefits to the students in these programs. I feel the responsibility to assure that all students from 4K-12 are provided with the absolute best education possible currently and in the future.[4]
—Mark Konrardy (2017)[5]

Why should voters elect you?

I will fight to assure that our excellence in student education is carried on by the continued focus on maintaining our teaching staff. I will work with the administration and the board to stay within our budget.[4]
—Mark Konrardy (2017)[5]

What do you want to accomplish if elected?

I would like to maintain and increase community involvement, including businesses, to assure we are staying in focus with today's educational skill set and also those for the future. I want to work with the board to keep focus on the elementary level, as we all know that is the foundation for student success.[4]
—Mark Konrardy (2017)[5]

What is your background in local government?

I have served for the last six years on the Marshfield School Board, being part of the buildings and grounds/transportation, policy and finance committees. I feel that I have contributed much to these committees and have benefited from the input of the other committee members.[4]
