Mark Mitchell (Vermont)
Mark Mitchell (b. May 16, 1934) was a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Windsor-6-1. Mitchell joined the Vermont State House of Representatives in 2007. He served in that position from 2007 until his resignation on May 6, 2011. Mitchell resigned after the 2011 session, due to his battle with lung cancer.[1]
Mitchell served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1956 to 1958. He then worked as an Architect for various businesses from 1962 to 1974. From 1974 to 1982, he worked as an Architect for Gourley, Richmond and Mitchell. He has worked for Mitchell Associates as an Architect since 1982.
Mitchell earned his B.S. in Architecture from Dartmouth College in 1956. He went on to receive his M.A. from Harvard University in 1962.

Mitchell ran for re-election to the Windsor 6-1 District in 2010. He ran unopposed in the primary election and in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2]
