I feel very strongly about helping people create their own futures and opportunities by giving them the tools to flourish with their own ideas and businesses. I help mentor startup companies at the Texas Tech Innovation Hub and the National Science Foundation. I also think it’s critically important for the United States to be on the front of innovation, science, and research so we can solve real-world problems we all face. That’s why I’m also a member of the National Academy of Inventors, so I can help encourage that kind of competitive thinking and creating. I have a few technological patents, so I'm very interested in the progress technology can help create for the country. At the same time I'm very skeptical and critical of how giant technology companies run our economy and people's lives with little public oversight.
I’ve also taught Economics and Software Development at the college level. In 2020 I won the Faculty Excellence Award at Amarillo College. Before this I worked for 23 years in the entertainment distribution business for a company called Anderson Merchandisers.
I have my undergraduate degree and masters from Texas A&M University.- People First. Putting people first is what my candidacy is all about, but to fulfill that, we must put the country first. Today, we are in dire shape, and the country is headed in the complete wrong direction. We are in the midst of rampant incompetence and corruption, and it’s the regular, day-to-day working people who are paying the price. We are seeing our values eroded, our future stolen, our democracy ripped apart, all to benefit a few while millions of Americans worry and suffer. We must reclaim our country and stand, once again, for what is moral, just, and true. We can do this by putting the government back to working for the people and creating stability instead of chaos in both our country and the world.
- Opportunity. We must fight to ensure the people are treated with fairness to fulfill that promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As an entrepreneur, I know true economic prosperity and opportunity come from the middle class. This means Congress must calm the economic chaos and reduce the cost of life for people by reclaiming its constitutional duty over tariffs. These haphazard tariffs are the largest tax increase Americans have ever seen. Additionally, the cost of getting sick in our country is extraordinary. We’ve made this about insurance and not about health. I will work on a national health care plan to fix these problems. Separating health care from jobs will create boundless opportunities for people.
- Accountability. We are facing the most corrupt, self-dealing, and incompetent administration in history. Many members of Congress are just as complicit. I will always stand for accountability, transparency, and responsibility. To fix our deep-rooted political problems, I will work to remove the disastrous effects of corporate and dark money from our elections, from our politics, and from our decisions. Tearing out the money is just the first step to accountable reform. We also need bans on Congressional stock trading and term limits on all our elected officials. And that’s just the money. I want to hold every single person who has violated the law accountable. Every single one.
