Mark E. Orr was the presiding circuit court judge for the 38th Circuit Court in Missouri. The 38th Circuit is composed of both Christian and Taney counties. Orr was elected to the seat in 2006 and re-elected in 2012 for a term lasting until 2018. On June 1, 2014, Orr died due to complications from cancer.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Orr earned a B.A. from Drury College and a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia.[5][2]

Career

Orr was elected as an associate judge for the 38th Circuit Court in 2002, a position he held until the 2006 election to the circuit judge seat. Orr was in private practice from 1986 to 2002. He has also held positions as the prosecuting attorney for Christian County, a municipal judge for the city of Clever, and as a city attorney in Ozark.[2]

2012 election
