Campaign themes
2014
Priore published his platform on his campaign website:
“ | Priorities
1. Enrollment Changes - Managing, planning, and adapting for changes in enrollments throughout our community over time will enable the district to better address the other major issues affecting our schools, such as: class sizes, administrative costs, capital costs, staffing, and programming. 2. Security - We, as a community and district, cannot afford to ignore or be complacent about the potential security risks confronting our schools and by routinely updating our disaster planning and through further collaboration with local law enforcement, we can ensure our preparedness. After all, providing a safe and secure environment for our students and teachers should be an utmost priority because without it, all other things cannot be accomplished. 3. Personalized Learning - We should remain open to different methods, types, and forms of delivering instruction; Impact Academy, Ignite, AVID, and iLink programs all being good examples; but this also means that we can't be afraid to modify or terminate programs that not producing the expected outcomes. This flexibility is essential in light of the ever advancing changes in technology.[3] |
