Shriver was running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Maryland's 6th District. Shriver sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket. Shriver faces opposition on the Democratic ticket from Robert Garagiola, Milad Pooran, John Delaney, Charles Bailey, and Ron Little.
