Mark Slavens is a judge of the Michigan 3rd Circuit Court. He assumed office on May 13, 2007. His current term ends on January 1, 2029.

Slavens received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1977 and a J.D. from the University of Toledo Law School in 1980. He began his career in 1980 as a private practice lawyer. He worked at Kitch, Surhenrich, Smith, Saubin & Drutchas from 1980 to 1981, at Gray & Sowle, P.C. from 1981 to 1982, and at his own firm of Mark T. Slavens, P.C. from 1985 until he joined the circuit court in May of 2007.[1]

Michigan held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election occurred on August 2, 2016.
