Mark Vannoy was the chair of the Maine Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) from 2014 to 2019. Vannoy was appointed to the MPUC in May 2012 to finish the term of Vendean Vafiades. He was appointed chair of the commission in December 2014 by Gov. Paul LePage.[1][2]

Vannoy was working for Wright-Pierce’s civil and infrastructure engineering practice when he was appointed to the MPUC. He had also worked on projects for the Poland Spring water company and served in the United States Navy from 1993 to 1999.[1]
