Mark Vicknair is a 2013 candidate for the criminal district magistrate court in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.[1][2]

2013 election

Vicknair ran for election to the Louisiana Magistrate Courts. Primary: He received 36.3 percent of the vote in the primary on October 19, 2013, defeating Morris Reed.
General: He was defeated by Harry Cantrell in the general election on November 16, 2013, after receiving 42.8 percent of the vote.[3][4][5][6]

Education

Vicknair earned an undergraduate degree from Tulane University, going on to receive his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He was admitted to the bar in 1994.[7]

Career

Vicknair, a former municipal court prosecutor, is a private attorney working in criminal, juvenile, municipal and traffic courts. He has also worked as a public defender and as an attorney for Catholic Charities, where he obtained temporary restraining orders for victims of domestic violence.[7]
