Biography
Mark Vincent was born in Compton, California, and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army. Vincent's career experience includes working as a telecommunications systems manager for the U.S. Army and as an electrical technician.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Unionizing city employees. Minimum wage increase. Low income housing.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
The removal of G.S. 95-98. G.S.95-98 is an attack on our first amendment right by making it illegal to collectively bargain with the state while asking for workers rights.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
President Barrack Obama and I only wish that I could do only half of what he has done for the American people. The world is changing and we need to look outside of the box. We need to start by bringing back manufacturing jobs. Like solar shield and wind farms products. We could be building them here in Charlotte instead of buying from China.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Honor: Being able to tell the truth even when you are wrong is one of be the best characteristic that a politician could have. Integrity: Doing what is right by the constituents in which you represents when no one is looking. Selfless Service: Doing your jobs to the best of your ability and look for nothing but a good job in return.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
By the time I was 8 years old and made Captain of my baseball team I have been put into leadership positions. I embody the acronym L.D.R.S.H.I.P. "Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage" that is who I am. I speak with people and at them, and this allows me to communicate more effectively with people, and with that style of communications I can get more done.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Represent the people from your District not yourself or the special interest. As a Leader when it comes to City Council you should be looking for business opportunities for your District, housing for the poor, and transportation to get the residents to work and school.
What legacy would you like to leave?
The manufacturing of solar panels in the city of Charlotte, NC. Union City Jobs in Charlotte that allows collective bargaining.
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
I remember that the entire world was crying I was a baby about 1. I asked my mother when I was about 14 and she said it was in April 1968 when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed. I don't really remember much about that, but I do remember that the whole world was crying.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
My very first job was with the teen summer program where I worked for the Parks and Recreations I was 14 and I worked all summer. That was the year I brought my first set of schools cloths. Yay.
What happened on your most awkward date?
Well we where 17 and we went out to a French restaurant and I did not know what to order nor did I speck France. My High school girlfriend did not know that I was allergic to onions and we ordered onions. Trying to be cool, I eat some, and you could guest the rest. It was a bad date from that point on, and we never made it to the movies.
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Independence Day the 4th of July. It stands for FREEDOM for all and no more oppression. We well have representation and no taxation.
What is your favorite book? Why?
Mother-goose: A book of political opposition to the king that became the worlds best selling children's book of all time. Wow.
If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?
Batman Why because he fights Super villains and Super heroes and wins them all, but Batman just a Human being doing his best that makes him the greatest super hero of them all.
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
The kitchen because I love to cook.
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
Old Town Road by Lil Nas X
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Losing my parents when I was young.
Are there any little-known powers or responsibilities held by this office that you believe more people should be aware of?
I believe that the people should know everything that is being voted on and not treated like it is some big secret.
What kind of skills or expertise do you believe would be the most helpful for the holders of this office to possess?
The ability to work with others and how to motivate others into to doing what is best for their constituents.
What qualities does this office possess that makes it a unique and important part of the local government?
The East side of Charlotte that is the best part of this jobs. The people with all of it different ethnic backgrounds all living together in harmony.
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for holders of this office to have previous experience in government or politics?
