Mark Zalcman
Mark Zalcman was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 73 of the Illinois House of Representatives. He was removed from the ballot on January 9, 2014, after the state board of elections determined that Zalcman did not have the required number of signatures.[1]
Zalcman was considered a potential candidate for the special election to Illinois' 18th Congressional District following the resignation of Rep. Aaron Schock. However, he did not run.[2]

Elections for the Illinois House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 18, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Incumbent David R. Leitch was set to face Mark Zalcman in the Republican primary, but Zalcman was removed from the ballot on January 9, 2014, leaving Leitch unopposed. Leitch was unchallenged in the general election.[3][4][5]
