Markus Batchelor
Markus Batchelor was a member of the District of Columbia State Board of Education, representing Ward 8. He assumed office on January 2, 2017. He left office on January 2, 2021.
Batchelor (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Washington D.C. City Council to represent Ward 8. He did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on June 4, 2024.
Biography
Prior to his election to the board, Batchelor served as the advisory neighborhood commissioner for District 8C04. He had previously served as a liaison to Ward 8 with the Mayor's Office of Community Relations and Services.[1]
