Fluent in English and Spanish, I bridge cultural divides to ensure justice for all. Let’s build a future where every voice is heard and every dream can flourish. Looking up to Mary, Jesus, and a host of other saints such as St. Teresa, St. Elizabeth, St. Catherine, Joan of Arc, and Mother Teresa is truly inspiring. Their examples of obedience, humility, patience, and unwavering faith in God serve as guiding lights for many. Their lives were marked by selflessness, compassion, and a dedication to serving others, even in the face of adversity. Their legacies continue to inspire countless individuals around the world, including myself, as I strive to follow their examples and live a life that is pleasing to God.
For a comprehensive understanding of my political philosophy, I recommend delving into St. Thomas Aquinas’s ‘Summa Theologica’ in Latin, exploring St. Augustine’s ‘City of God’ and treatises on Free Will and Freedom of Choice, studying Aristotle’s works on politics and ethics, and examining both the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers. Additionally, exploring case law on individual rights predating 1865 provides a historical context for understanding the evolution of legal principles and the protection of liberties. These foundational texts offer rich insights into my commitment to upholding constitutional principles, individual rights, and the pursuit of justice.
For me, the most crucial characteristics for an elected official are integrity, empathy, and a commitment to serving the best interests of their constituents. It’s about more than just rhetoric; it’s about being able to actively listen, collaborate, and think critically to find solutions that benefit everyone. As a trained mediator and experienced paralegal, I bring a unique skill set that emphasizes effective communication, critical thinking, and legal expertise. I believe in transparency, accountability, and working collaboratively to address the challenges facing our community. By prioritizing these principles, I aim to uphold the trust of those who have elected me and work tirelessly to represent their voices in the legislature.
My extensive background as a paralegal has equipped me with skills in legal research, analysis, and the application of law. Additionally, my training as a mediator enables me to excel in negotiations and conflict resolution. I deeply value family and education, which drives my dedication to advocating for policies that support family autonomy and educational freedom. With real-world experience, a commitment to constitutional principles, and a passion for serving my community, I believe I possess the qualities necessary to be a successful officeholder.
As someone who loves to read, write, and think like a lawyer, I believe the core responsibilities of someone elected to office are multifaceted. Firstly, it’s essential to uphold the principles of a Constitutional Republic and represent the interests of the constituents faithfully. This involves drafting and analyzing legislation, conducting thorough research, and advocating for policies that align with the vision of our Founding Fathers. Additionally, effective communication skills are paramount for fostering transparency, engaging with constituents, and collaborating with fellow legislators to enact meaningful change. Furthermore, maintaining integrity, ethical conduct, and accountability are non-negotiable aspects of public service. As a passionate advocate for justice and legal integrity, I am committed to fulfilling these responsibilities with dedication, diligence, and a deep sense of duty to the people I serve.
I aspire to leave a legacy of restored legal integrity and liberty. Through my commitment to upholding constitutional principles, advocating for individual freedoms, and fostering a society where justice prevails, I aim to leave a lasting impact that ensures the preservation of our fundamental rights for generations to come.
Experiencing the Challenger disaster while in junior high school was a defining moment in my life. The tragic event, which occurred on January 28, 1986, profoundly impacted me and my peers, serving as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of safety in exploration and discovery. As we mourned the loss of the crew, including the teacher Christa McAuliffe, it sparked discussions about the risks and rewards of space exploration, as well as the resilience of the human spirit in the face of tragedy. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the pursuit of knowledge and the courage to venture into the unknown, tempered by a recognition of the responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of those who dare to explore.
My very first job was as a door-to-door salesman selling pots and pans. I held this job for two years. It was an experience that taught me a lot about resilience, persuasion, and the value of independence.
My favorite book is "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale because it offers biblical wisdom, and "The Autobiography of St. Teresa of Avila" because together, they provide insight into virtue and living a fulfilling life.
Something that has been a struggle in my life is believing in myself and fully embracing the gifts that God has bestowed upon me. This internal battle has often hindered my ability to fully love and serve others as I desire.
The ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is one of collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to serving the best interests of the people of the state. The governor, equipped with knowledge and wisdom in legal history and Constitutional law, plays a crucial role in representing the state's interests and upholding the rule of law. They must work hand in hand with the legislature to enact policies that benefit the citizens and ensure accountability in governance.
The governor should be influential and accountable in pushing back on bad laws and policies, serving as a check against potential overreach or harmful legislation. At the same time, they must engage in constructive dialogue with the legislature, fostering an environment of cooperation and compromise to address the diverse needs of the state's population.
Ultimately, a harmonious relationship between the governor and state legislature is essential for effective governance, with both branches working together to enact laws that uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and the well-being of all citizens, without bias or party prejudice.
Over the next decade, I perceive several significant challenges facing our state, including:
1. Crime: Addressing crime rates and ensuring public safety will be paramount, requiring comprehensive strategies that address root causes, rehabilitation, and community policing.
2. Child Trafficking: Combating child trafficking and exploitation demands increased awareness, prevention efforts, and robust law enforcement measures to protect vulnerable children and prosecute perpetrators.
3. Homelessness: Tackling homelessness requires a multifaceted approach, including affordable housing initiatives, supportive services for mental health and substance abuse, and economic opportunities for at-risk individuals.
4. Immigration: Managing immigration issues effectively entails advocating for fair and compassionate policies at the state and federal levels, addressing workforce needs, and providing support for immigrant communities.
5. Functional Illiteracy: Addressing functional illiteracy is essential for fostering educational equity and economic opportunity. Investing in literacy programs, early childhood education, and adult education initiatives can help bridge literacy gaps and empower individuals.
6. Poverty: Addressing poverty requires holistic approaches that address economic disparities, access to healthcare, education, and affordable housing. Social safety nets and economic empowerment programs can help lift individuals and families out of poverty.
7. Morality: Upholding moral values such as godliness, self-control, and faithfulness is crucial for maintaining social cohesion and individual well-being. Promoting moral principles in our communities and institutions can contribute to a more ethical and harmonious society.
By addressing these challenges collaboratively, with innovative solutions and a commitment to equity and justice, we can build a stronger and more resilient state for all residents.
While previous experience in government or politics can provide valuable insights and understanding of the legislative process, it is not the only indicator of effectiveness for state legislators. What's more crucial is a diverse skill set and a genuine commitment to serving the interests of constituents. Legislators should possess competence in legal reasoning, research, and analysis, as well as strong communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills. They should also have a passion for law and politics, coupled with the ability to think critically and generate innovative ideas. Additionally, qualities such as empathy, customer service orientation, and the ability to build relationships are vital for effective representation. Whether acquired through prior political experience or other professional backgrounds like mediation or paralegal work, a well-rounded skill set and dedication to serving the public interest are paramount for state legislators.
Yes, building relationships with other legislators is highly beneficial for effective governance and legislative outcomes. By fostering positive relationships, legislators can create channels for collaboration, negotiation, and consensus-building, which are essential for advancing legislative agendas and achieving policy objectives. Moreover, strong interpersonal connections enable legislators to understand differing perspectives, bridge ideological divides, and find common ground on contentious issues. These relationships not only facilitate the passage of legislation but also contribute to a more cohesive and productive legislative environment. Ultimately, building relationships with other legislators enhances a lawmaker's ability to influence decision-making, advocate for constituents, and drive positive change for their communities.
Yes, I admire Representatives DeGraff, Luck, and Bottoms for their dedication to public service, their commitment to their constituents, and their leadership qualities. They have demonstrated integrity, innovation, and a strong work ethic in their roles as legislators, and I aspire to emulate their effective governance and positive impact on their communities.
Yes, a particularly memorable experience for me was when I drafted a parent rights initiative and advocated for it passionately. Despite having significant support for the initiative, it was ultimately killed by Democrats in committee. This experience highlighted the challenges and frustrations of navigating the legislative process, but it also reinforced my commitment to advocating for important issues and fighting for the rights of parents in our district.
The legislature should play a role in overseeing the use of emergency powers to ensure accountability and transparency. While emergency powers can be necessary in times of crisis, they also have the potential to infringe on individual rights and liberties if not properly regulated. Granting emergency powers should involve checks and balances to prevent abuse and ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of the public. Therefore, legislative oversight can help maintain a balance between necessary action and protecting Constitutional principles.
If elected, the first bill I would introduce is the "Parents Bill of Rights." This legislation aims to protect and uphold the rights of parents in various aspects of their children's education, healthcare, and upbringing. It would establish clear guidelines and protections for parental involvement in decisions regarding their children's education, medical care, and overall well-being. This bill is essential for empowering parents to be active participants in their children's lives and ensuring that their voices are heard and respected in matters that directly affect their families.
Several committees interest me due to their relevance to key issues affecting our community and my background in law, mediation, and advocacy for health freedom. Specifically, I am interested in:
1. Judiciary Committee: Given my experience as a paralegal and mediator, I am keen to contribute to discussions on legal matters, constitutional issues, and judicial oversight.
2. Education Committee: As a homeschool mom and advocate for educational freedom and family values, I am passionate about ensuring that all children have access to quality education and parental choice in schooling.
3. Ethics Committee: Upholding ethical standards and promoting transparency in government are fundamental to restoring trust in public institutions. I am committed to ensuring accountability and integrity in all aspects of governance.
4. Health and Human Services Committee: Advocating for health freedom and access to holistic healthcare options is a priority for me. I am dedicated to promoting policies that empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
5. Small Business and Economic Development Committee: As an entrepreneur and advocate for economic freedom, I understand the importance of fostering small business growth and creating job opportunities in our community.
These committees align with my areas of expertise, values, and priorities, and I look forward to contributing my knowledge and skills to address the pressing issues facing our district and state.
My views on financial transparency and government accountability are rooted in the principles of integrity, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. I firmly believe that government should operate with the utmost transparency, ensuring that taxpayers have access to information about how their money is being spent. This includes transparent budgeting processes, comprehensive financial reporting, and accountability mechanisms to prevent misuse or abuse of public funds.
Regarding advocacy against ESG criteria, I stand firmly against any measures that could undermine our economic and personal freedoms. While environmental, social, and governance considerations are important, they should not be imposed in a way that restricts individual liberties or stifles economic growth. Instead, I advocate for policies that balance environmental stewardship with economic prosperity and personal freedoms.
Furthermore, I believe in promoting clear and focused debates on critical issues such as life, liberty, and property. By addressing one issue at a time, we can ensure that discussions are thorough, productive, and lead to meaningful solutions. Clarity and transparency in debates are essential for fostering informed decision-making and ensuring that the voices of all individual citizens are heard.
Yes, I support changes to the current state ballot initiative process to make it easier for citizens to participate in lawmaking when they feel their rights are being usurped by current lawmakers. This could involve streamlining the process for gathering signatures, providing clearer guidelines for submitting initiatives, and ensuring that citizen-led initiatives receive fair consideration and adequate resources for implementation. Additionally, measures to increase transparency and accountability in the initiative process would help uphold the integrity of direct democracy and ensure that the voices of citizens are heard in shaping public policy.

The last song that got stuck in my head was "I Surrender." It's a powerful and emotive song that resonates with many listeners, and its catchy melody and heartfelt lyrics can easily linger in the mind long after hearing it.
One significant struggle I’ve encountered in my life is learning to be patient and silent in order to be fully present and listen actively. In today’s fast-paced world, where distractions abound and there’s constant pressure to respond quickly, cultivating patience and silence can be challenging.
This struggle has affected various aspects of my life, including personal relationships, professional interactions, and even moments of self-reflection. I’ve often found myself eager to speak or react, unable to fully embrace the present moment and listen attentively to others.
However, I recognize the importance of being present and listening actively in fostering meaningful connections and understanding. Through mindfulness practices such as meditation, deep breathing, and conscious awareness, I’ve been working to cultivate patience and silence in my daily life.
By slowing down, quieting the mind, and giving my full attention to the present moment and the people around me, I’ve been able to deepen my relationships, gain valuable insights, and foster greater empathy and understanding.
While this struggle remains a work in progress, I’m committed to continuing my journey towards being more patient, silent, and present in order to truly engage with the world and those around me.
I believe the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is one of collaboration, mutual respect, and shared commitment to serving the best interests of the people of the state. While the governor and legislature may have different roles and responsibilities, they must work together effectively to address the needs and priorities of their constituents.
The governor serves as the chief executive of the state, responsible for enforcing the laws, managing state agencies, and representing the state’s interests both domestically and internationally. As such, the governor must possess a deep understanding of constitutional law, as well as the ability to navigate complex legal and policy issues.
At the same time, the state legislature plays a crucial role in the lawmaking process, crafting legislation, overseeing the state budget, and providing oversight of executive actions. The legislature represents the diverse interests and perspectives of the people, and its members have a duty to enact laws that reflect the will of the electorate and promote the common good.
In an ideal relationship, the governor and state legislature would work collaboratively to advance shared priorities and address pressing challenges facing the state. This requires open communication, compromise, and a willingness to listen to diverse viewpoints. While there may be disagreements at times, constructive dialogue and negotiation can lead to better outcomes for all.
Ultimately, the governor should have the gumption to uphold good laws and push back on bad laws when necessary, while also seeking common ground and finding solutions that benefit the state as a whole. By working together in a spirit of cooperation and unity, the governor and state legislature can effectively govern and serve the people they represent.
As we look ahead to the next decade, several pressing challenges confront our state, each requiring thoughtful and proactive solutions. Among these challenges, immigration, crime, and homelessness stand out as particularly significant:
1. Immigration: Our state faces complex issues related to immigration, including the need for comprehensive immigration reform, pathways to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, and addressing the needs of immigrant communities. As a diverse and inclusive society, we must work to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their immigration status, have access to basic rights, opportunities for education, and pathways to legal residency.
2. Crime: Addressing crime and enhancing public safety are critical priorities for our state. This includes addressing violent crime, gang activity, drug trafficking, and other criminal threats to our communities. Strategies to combat crime must focus on prevention, intervention, rehabilitation, and effective law enforcement collaboration, while also addressing root causes such as poverty, substance abuse, and lack of access to mental health services.
3. Homelessness: The issue of homelessness presents a multifaceted challenge that requires comprehensive solutions. As housing costs continue to rise and economic disparities persist, many individuals and families are at risk of homelessness. Addressing homelessness requires a holistic approach that includes providing affordable housing, access to mental health and substance abuse treatment, supportive services, and pathways to stable employment and self-sufficiency.
In confronting these challenges, it is essential for policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders to work collaboratively to develop and implement effective solutions. This includes investing in evidence-based programs, fostering partnerships between government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community groups, and prioritizing the needs of vulnerable populations.
While previous experience in government or politics can provide valuable insights and understanding of the legislative process, it is not necessarily a requirement for effective state legislators. What truly matters is a solid knowledge of the law, integrity in representing constituents, and a commitment to upholding the rule of law.
Legislators should possess a deep understanding of constitutional principles, legal frameworks, and the responsibilities of their role. This knowledge enables them to craft sound policies, evaluate proposed legislation, and advocate effectively for the interests of their constituents.
Moreover, integrity is paramount in public service. Legislators must demonstrate honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct in their actions and decisions. They should prioritize the needs of their constituents above personal or political gain and uphold the trust placed in them by the electorate.
At the same time, a commitment to upholding the rule of law is essential for maintaining the integrity of our democratic institutions. Legislators must adhere to legal standards and constitutional principles in their legislative efforts, ensuring that laws are enacted in accordance with due process and the principles of justice.
Ultimately, while previous experience in government or politics can be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for effective state legislators. What truly matters is a dedication to serving the public interest, a strong moral compass, and a commitment to upholding the principles of law and democracy.
Yes, building relationships with other legislators is highly beneficial for effective governance and achieving legislative goals. Collaboration and cooperation among legislators are essential for crafting meaningful legislation, finding common ground on contentious issues, and advancing the interests of constituents.
By fostering relationships with colleagues across the political spectrum, legislators can cultivate trust, respect, and mutual understanding. This enables them to work together more effectively, navigate differences of opinion, and find compromises that address the diverse needs and priorities of their constituents.
Additionally, building relationships with other legislators enhances communication and facilitates the exchange of ideas and information. This can lead to more informed decision-making, better policy outcomes, and a more responsive and inclusive legislative process.
Moreover, strong relationships among legislators can help to bridge partisan divides and promote bipartisan cooperation. In an era of increasing polarization, the ability to work across party lines is essential for overcoming gridlock, finding innovative solutions to complex problems, and advancing the common good.
Furthermore, building relationships with other legislators fosters a sense of camaraderie and collegiality within legislative bodies. This creates a supportive and collaborative environment where legislators can learn from one another, share best practices, and collaborate on initiatives that benefit their constituents.
In summary, building relationships with other legislators is crucial for effective governance, cooperation, and problem-solving. By working together and resolving conflicts through open communication and collaboration, legislators can better serve the interests of the people they represent and fulfill their responsibilities as elected officials.

It's always possible that my interests and aspirations may evolve in the future. While my focus is currently on serving in my current capacity, I remain open to the possibility of running for a different political office, such as the U.S. Congress or governor, at some point down the line. However, my primary goal remains to effectively serve my constituents and make a positive impact in whatever capacity I am able.
Yes, there was a particularly impactful story that I heard during my time engaging with constituents. It was the testimony of a young woman who courageously shared her experience of visiting an abortion clinic with the intention of terminating her pregnancy, only to have her mind changed at the last moment. Despite expressing her desire to leave and carry her pregnancy to term, she was tragically forced to undergo the procedure against her will. This deeply moving testimony served as a powerful reminder of the complexities surrounding the issue of abortion and the importance of respecting individual autonomy and choice. It highlighted the need for policies that prioritize the well-being and rights of women, ensuring that they are empowered to make informed decisions about their own bodies and futures. This story has stayed with me as a poignant reminder of the human impact of legislative decisions and the profound responsibility we have as lawmakers to protect the rights and dignity of all individuals, especially those facing difficult and deeply personal choices. It reinforces my commitment to advocating for policies that uphold the sanctity of life, protect women's health and rights, and support individuals and families facing unplanned pregnancies with compassion and support.
The issue of granting emergency powers is a complex one, and the role of the legislature in overseeing or granting such powers depends on various factors, including the specific circumstances of the emergency and the structure of the government.
In general, it is important for checks and balances to be in place to ensure that emergency powers are not abused or misused. While granting emergency powers may be necessary in certain situations to enable swift and effective responses to crises, such powers should be temporary, narrowly tailored, and subject to oversight and accountability mechanisms.
The legislature plays a critical role in providing oversight of emergency powers, as it represents the interests of the people and acts as a check on the executive branch. Legislatures can establish clear criteria and procedures for declaring emergencies, define the scope and duration of emergency powers, and require regular reporting and review of executive actions taken under emergency authority.
Ultimately, the decision to grant emergency powers should be made judiciously, with careful consideration of the balance between the need for expedited action and the protection of civil liberties and democratic principles. It is essential for legislatures to exercise their oversight authority effectively to ensure that emergency powers are used responsibly and in the best interests of the public.
Parental rights and literacy are two crucial aspects of education and child development that deserve focused attention and support.
1. Parental Rights: Parents play a fundamental role in their children’s education and upbringing, and it is essential to protect and empower parental rights. This includes respecting parents’ authority to make decisions about their children’s education, health care, and upbringing, as well as ensuring that parents have access to information and resources to support their children’s academic success and well-being.
Legislation aimed at supporting parental rights could include measures to strengthen parental involvement in schools, such as providing opportunities for parents to participate in decision-making processes, access to their children’s educational records, and resources to support parental engagement in their children’s learning.
Additionally, legislation could focus on protecting parental rights in areas such as medical decision-making, religious freedom, and privacy rights, ensuring that parents have the ability to make informed choices that align with their values and beliefs.
2. Literacy: Literacy is the foundation of academic achievement and lifelong learning, and efforts to promote literacy are essential for ensuring that all students have the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Legislation focused on literacy could include measures to enhance early literacy instruction, provide support for struggling readers, and promote literacy development across all grade levels and subject areas.
This could involve initiatives such as expanding access to high-quality literacy instruction, providing professional development for educators, and investing in literacy resources and interventions for students who are behind grade level.
Additionally, legislation could address broader issues related to literacy, such as promoting literacy-rich environments in schools and communities, supporting family literacy programs,

I believe that financial transparency and government accountability are fundamental pillars of a healthy representative republic. Transparency ensures that taxpayers have access to information about how their money is being spent and allows for greater scrutiny of government actions. It fosters trust between citizens and their elected representatives and helps to deter corruption and misuse of public funds.
Accountability is equally important, as it holds government officials accountable for their actions and decisions. Elected representatives must be held accountable to the people they serve, and mechanisms should be in place to ensure that they are acting in the best interests of their constituents. This includes regular audits, oversight by independent bodies, and a commitment to ethical conduct and integrity in public service.
As a candidate, I am committed to promoting financial transparency and government accountability at all levels of government. I believe that taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being used and that government officials should be held to the highest standards of integrity and accountability. By prioritizing transparency and accountability, we can build a more responsive, efficient, and trustworthy government that truly serves the needs of the people.

Thank you for your support in building a brighter future for our children and community.

The first historical event that I remember from my lifetime is my parents' divorce when I was 7 years old. It was a significant and impactful event in my life, marking a transition and change in my family dynamics.
My very first job was selling pots and pans for two years in Miami, Florida. It provided valuable experience in sales and customer service, and taught me the importance of hard work and persistence. Though challenging at times, it was a rewarding experience that laid the foundation for my future career endeavors.
My favorite book is "The Interior Castle" by St. Teresa of Avila. Her profound insights into prayer, spirituality, and the journey of the soul have deeply impacted me. As someone on a spiritual path, I find her exploration of the "interior castles" within the human soul both enlightening and transformative. St. Teresa's writings guide readers through the stages of spiritual development, offering wisdom on how to deepen one's relationship with God and navigate the challenges of the spiritual life. Her life story and teachings serve as a beacon of light, inspiring me to embark on my own journey of prayer and self-discovery within the "interior castles" of my soul.
If I could be any fictional character, I would choose Cordelia from "Cordelia" by Michelle Nelson-Schmidt. Cordelia is a brave and adventurous character who embarks on exciting journeys and learns valuable lessons along the way. I admire her courage, kindness, and determination to follow her dreams despite any obstacles she may face. Being Cordelia would allow me to explore new worlds, overcome challenges, and inspire others with her unwavering spirit.
The last song that got stuck in my head was "Can't Stop the Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake. It's such an upbeat and catchy tune that it's hard not to find yourself humming along to it throughout the day!
One of the struggles I've faced in my life is overcoming self-doubt and insecurity. Like many people, I've grappled with feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty about my abilities and worth. This internal struggle has at times hindered my personal and professional growth, leading to periods of self-doubt and hesitation.
However, I've learned that facing and overcoming these challenges is an essential part of personal development and growth. Through self-reflection, introspection, and support from loved ones, I've been able to gradually build confidence in myself and my abilities. By embracing a growth mindset and focusing on continuous improvement, I've been able to navigate through life's challenges with greater resilience and determination.
While the struggle with self-doubt may still arise from time to time, I've learned to recognize it as a natural part of the human experience and an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery. By confronting these challenges head-on and seeking support when needed, I've been able to emerge stronger and more resilient, ready to face whatever life may throw my way.
The ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is one of collaboration and checks and balances, rooted in mutual respect for their respective roles and responsibilities. While the governor is responsible for executing and enforcing the laws, it is crucial for them to work closely with the legislature in shaping policy priorities and enacting legislation that serves the best interests of the state and its residents.
At the same time, the state legislature plays a vital role in holding the executive branch accountable and providing oversight of government actions. This relationship should be characterized by constructive dialogue, compromise, and a shared commitment to upholding the state constitution and the US Constitution.
In cases where laws may be perceived as unjust, it is essential for both the governor and the legislature to uphold their oaths to support and defend the constitution. While the governor has the responsibility to enforce laws, they also have the discretion to exercise executive authority judiciously and consider the constitutionality and moral implications of the laws at hand. This may involve advocating for legislative reforms or, in extreme cases, using veto power to prevent the enactment of unjust laws. Ultimately, the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is one that prioritizes the well-being and rights of the people they serve, while upholding the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
Over the next decade, one of the greatest challenges for our state may be striking a balance between fiscal responsibility and ensuring adequate funding for essential public services. While reducing government size and taxes can stimulate economic growth and promote individual liberty, it must be done thoughtfully to avoid negative impacts on critical areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social services.
Additionally, maintaining a stable revenue stream while reducing taxes may require innovative approaches to budgeting and revenue generation. State governments rely on taxes to fund essential services, and reducing tax revenue without careful planning could lead to budget deficits or cuts in vital programs.
Furthermore, navigating potential economic fluctuations, external pressures, and unforeseen challenges will require proactive and strategic policymaking. It will be essential to prioritize investments in areas that promote long-term economic growth, job creation, and prosperity for all residents while maintaining fiscal discipline and accountability.
Overall, while shrinking government and reducing taxes may offer opportunities for economic growth and individual empowerment, effectively managing these changes will require careful consideration of their potential impacts and a commitment to addressing the evolving needs of our state and its citizens.
As a paralegal mediator and advocate for liberty principles, I believe that previous experience in government or politics can be beneficial for state legislators, but it is not necessarily a requirement. Having experience in government or politics can provide valuable insights into the legislative process, familiarity with policy issues, and connections within the political landscape. However, what matters most is the individual's commitment to upholding the principles of justice, liberty, and the rule of law, as well as their ability to effectively represent the interests of their constituents.
Being a proficient reader, thinking critically, and having knowledge of law is important in navigating complex legislative issues and crafting sound policy solutions. Ultimately, legislators should possess a strong understanding of constitutional principles, legal literacy, and a dedication to serving the public good. Whether gained through prior government experience, legal expertise, or grassroots advocacy, these qualities are essential for effective governance and ensuring that legislative decisions are made in the best interests of the people they serve.
Yes, I strongly believe it's beneficial for legislators to build relationships with their colleagues. Building relationships with other legislators fosters collaboration, facilitates bipartisan cooperation, and enhances the effectiveness of the legislative process. By working together and building trust across party lines, legislators can find common ground on important issues, negotiate compromises, and pass meaningful legislation that addresses the needs of their constituents.
Additionally, building relationships with other legislators allows individuals to gain diverse perspectives, access valuable resources and expertise, and form alliances to advance shared goals and priorities. In a political environment often characterized by polarization and gridlock, building relationships with colleagues can help break down barriers, bridge ideological divides, and promote constructive dialogue and problem-solving.
Furthermore, strong relationships with other legislators can enhance an individual's ability to advocate for their constituents and effectively navigate the legislative process. By collaborating with colleagues, legislators can amplify their voices, build coalitions, and increase the likelihood of success for their legislative initiatives.
In conclusion, building relationships with other legislators is essential for effective governance, promoting bipartisan cooperation, and advancing the interests of the constituents. It fosters collaboration, enhances the legislative process, and ultimately contributes to better outcomes for the communities served by elected officials.
As a public servant, I'm inspired by several legislators who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication to their constituents. While I don't aim to emulate any single individual, I admire the qualities of integrity, compassion, and commitment to service that many legislators have exhibited throughout history.
I find inspiration in past leaders like Thomas Jefferson, who championed the principles of liberty and democracy, and in present-day figures like Stephanie Luck, Degraff, Bottoms, Madison, Daniel Carroll, and John Carroll, who work tirelessly to represent their communities and uphold the values of justice and equality.
While each legislator brings their own unique approach and perspective to the role, I strive to learn from the experiences and achievements of those who have come before me, while also remaining true to my own principles and convictions. Ultimately, my goal is to serve my constituents with integrity, humility, and a steadfast commitment to advancing the common good.
As a dedicated advocate for my community, my current focus is on serving effectively in my role as a state legislator. I believe in giving my full attention and energy to the responsibilities entrusted to me by my constituents and working diligently to address the pressing issues facing our state.
While I remain committed to serving in my current capacity, I am open to considering opportunities to further contribute to the betterment of our community and state in the future. However, any decision to pursue a different political office would depend on various factors, including the needs of my constituents, the political landscape, and my own personal aspirations and goals.
For now, my priority is to continue serving with integrity and dedication in my current role, working tirelessly to represent the interests of those I serve and make a positive difference in the lives of my fellow citizens.
As a legislator, I've had the privilege of listening to countless personal stories from residents of my district, each one leaving a lasting impression on me. One story that stands out to me is that of a young woman who shared her experience of growing up in a broken family without the presence of a father figure.
She spoke candidly about the challenges she faced and the emotional toll it took on her upbringing. Despite the adversity she encountered, she also shared moments of resilience and strength, highlighting the importance of community support and personal determination in overcoming obstacles.
Her story resonated with me deeply, serving as a poignant reminder of the profound impact that family dynamics can have on an individual's life trajectory. It reinforced my commitment to advocating for policies and initiatives that support strong families, provide resources for single parents, and create opportunities for all children to thrive, regardless of their upbringing.
Listening to her story reaffirmed the importance of empathy, compassion, and understanding in policymaking, and it inspired me to redouble my efforts to address the root causes of family instability and promote policies that foster resilience and well-being for all members of our community.
In the American constitutional republic, the question of whether the legislature should oversee or grant the use of emergency powers depends on various factors. The separation of powers principle mandates distinct roles for the legislature, executive, and judiciary, each with its own set of responsibilities. While the executive typically holds the authority to declare states of emergency and utilize emergency powers, it's crucial to ensure these powers are exercised judiciously and in line with constitutional values. Oversight by the legislature serves as a vital check on executive authority, preventing potential abuses and upholding freedom. By subjecting emergency declarations to legislative review, transparency and accountability are ensured. However, the balance between executive discretion and legislative oversight must be carefully considered. Some argue that legislative involvement could hinder swift action during crises, while others believe robust oversight is essential for upholding constitutional principles. Ultimately, the approach to overseeing emergency powers should prioritize the rule of law, freedom, and protection of individual rights, aiming for effective governance while respecting fundamental constitutional values.
If elected, the first bills I would introduce would focus on ending federal income tax, protecting parental rights, and reforming state taxes. These issues are crucial for promoting individual liberty, empowering families, and fostering economic growth. By eliminating federal income tax, we can reduce the burden on hardworking Americans and encourage economic prosperity. Additionally, protecting parental rights ensures that parents have the authority to make decisions regarding their children's education and upbringing, without undue interference from the government. Reforming state taxes is essential for promoting fairness, efficiency, and economic competitiveness. These bills reflect my commitment to upholding constitutional principles, promoting freedom, and improving the lives of constituents.
Several committees interest me, particularly those focused on education, judiciary, and finance. The Education Committee allows me to advocate for policies that promote access to quality education and empower parents in their children's schooling. The Judiciary Committee enables me to uphold the rule of law and protect individual rights and liberties. Additionally, the Finance Committee offers the opportunity to oversee fiscal matters and ensure responsible budgeting and spending. Each of these committees plays a crucial role in shaping policies that impact the well-being of our communities and the integrity of our government.
I believe that financial transparency and government accountability are fundamental pillars of good governance. It is essential for citizens to have access to information about how taxpayer money is being spent and how government decisions are made. Financial transparency ensures that public funds are used efficiently and effectively, while government accountability holds elected officials and public servants responsible for their actions and decisions. By promoting financial transparency and accountability, we can strengthen trust in government institutions, enhance public participation in the democratic process, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability in public service.

I’m a 2nd generation American who’s grandparents and parents fled Castroism (Cuban Communism) in 1961. I remember my mother talking about Batista’s regime and how he would allow citizens to pursue making money and spending but would oppress and silence political opposition and descent. As soon as Castro took Cuba in a Coup d’etat in 1959 and started consolidating power, my grandfather started making plans to flee. And in 1961, my grandfather sent my mom to Mexico, she was 15. And he and my grandma left to Spain.
It took 6 months for my grandparents to get papers to enter the USA and reunite with my mom in Miami where I was born in 1973.
The lesson I learned is that freedom is frail.
I’m Catholic and a strict constitutionalist. I’m running Because I’m tired of the constitution being ignored.

The ideal relationship is one where the Governor is upholding the constitution and being a check on Congress.
Influencing legislators to protect life, liberty and property and ensuring laws don’t deprive life, liberty and property without due process and equal protection.
The drawback is that we would not have a strong constitutional check and balance on power. The purpose of government is to protect life, liberty and property.
Bicameral means the senate can check and balance the house.
Without a check and balance, legislators will pass laws that may be unconstitutional.
Yes. Everyone whether republican or democrat should build relationships with constituents and really listen. And not make laws that don’t balance life, liberty and property.
