Prudek ran for re-election for judge of the Colorado 4th Judicial District. She won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
Prudek was initially appointed by Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) on November 8, 2012. Prudek won retention in the general election on November 8, 2016.
From 2009 to 2012, Prudek was a judge on the El Paso County Court. She had won retention election to a new four-year term just two days before her appointment to the district court.[1]

Prudek was retained in the general election on November 6, 2012, winning 73.73 percent of the vote.[2]
Judicial performance evaluation
The Fourth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.[3]
Judge Prudek was recommended for retention by an unanimous vote. [4]
