Marlene Katz is the Democratic candidate running to flip the 29th legislative district, which includes Warminster,Ivyland, Warwick and most of Buckingham Townships. A successful small-business owner, Marlene started her first business at the age of 23. She grew her businesses over two decades, managed multiple locations, and paid all her employees a fair living wage. After selling her businesses, Marlene took on a new challenge; leading a scientific laboratory, and interfacing with 300 employees to develop cutting edge consumer products. She volunteers tirelessly in the community on social issues, to protect our environment, reduce bullying and gun violence in schools, and increase voter participation. Marlene's compassion, empathy, and willingness to work hard and uphold democratic values, has gained her the respect of people in her community and throughout the county. Marlene knows first-hand the challenges facing individuals, families, small-business owners and larger organizations today. That's why Marlene will fight for them in Harrisburg, and work to ensure that all will be able to survive this health crisis.

I am running for office because I care deeply about our kids, families, and communities and I know that with hard work and coalition building, I can bring real improvement to their lives. As a mother, I am concerned about how bullying and cyberbullying are hurting our kids. There are far too many teenage suicides, and we must address the opioid crisis with quality drug treatment and recovery programs. As a business woman I see and understand the challenges that our small and local businesses face. And as an Interfaith Minister, I know that the divisiveness that has entered into our politics is a real problem. I strongly believe that we need to change the conversation so we can begin to shift back to good-faith politics that bring unity to our families and communities. I have been in communication with mothers and fathers, business owners and workers, and single millennials and seniors in order to learn about the issues that matter to them. I am committed to making a difference by listening and leading to build a stronger community.
