Marlin Schneider
Marlin Schneider (b. November 16, 1942) was a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 72nd District since 1971.
Schneider is a teacher by trade. He served as Assistant Minority Leader in 1995, 1997, and 1999, and as Assistant Majority Leader in 1989.[1]. Schneider is the longest serving member in the Wisconsin Assembly with a total of 39 years in office[2].

Schneider was defeated in his bid for re-election to Wisconsin State Assembly District 72. He was defeated by Republican Scott Krug in the general election on November 2, 2010. Also defeated in the election was Independent Thad Kubisiak. Schneider was unopposed in the September 14, 2010, primary election.[3]
