Murrieta, California, is a beautiful city where my wife and I settled and raise our family. I am a proud father of 4 children and currently teach graduate and undergraduate business courses at a local university. I am also a retired U.S. Marine Officer with over 25 years of experience who has served in Desert Storm/Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom. My family and I are excited to be active participants in our community. I will be dedicated to keeping our district safe, prosperous, and financially proficient. My significant three issues are taxes, education, and homelessness. I have proven leadership skills and stand ready to serve our district! My educational achievements include a Doctor of Business Administration degree, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Arts degree in Management and Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Management. My education and experience have equipped me with the sound skills, knowledge, and abilities to be a highly successful, dedicated, and fiscally responsible leader ready to help lead our district into a very prosperous future. I am proven and perform well under pressure. I have proudly served my country/community and continue to stand ready to defend our culture and values as I have for over 25 years. I am humbled and excited to offer my commitment, dedication, and readiness as Assemblyman for California Assembly District 36 to honorably serve the people! Vote for Dr. Marlon Ware Assembly District 36!
  • Taxes. What can we do to reduce taxes? How do our tax dollars work for us? Let's explore this!
  • Education. How can we enhance our children's education? How do changes in curriculum affect our youth and our future?
  • Homelessness. How can we provide better resources to help our homeless population. We need more social workers and facilities.
I am passionate about:

-Economic development is essential for growth
-Clean energy

-Education
I look up to my parents. They truly did everything they could to provide me the best upbringing possible. Learning culture, how to treat people, and decision making were essential for my growth. I am doing the same for my children as they are our future. This is why I am passionate about how we pour into our children in our classrooms. It is important to understand what is being taught and make sure that it is appropriate for the growth of our children.
Integrity (no matter what)

Honesty
Work-ethic

Strong communicator
Understanding what the community needs and write bills

Represent the community and be a legislative voice according to their needs
Get out and be known in the community

Negotiate with others who stand between legislation that will help my community and be firm
The first major historical event that happened was when I was a child in pre-school. My friend informed me that his tummy was hurting during our lunch break and he wanted to go home. I asked him if he wanted me to take him and he told me that he did. I took him by the hand and walked through the front door and headed to his house as he lived across the street from me. We made it home to frantic parents and a lot of explanation. I attempted to explain that all I wanted to do was help. I saw a friend in distress and wanted to do whatever it took to make him better. Nonetheless, some rules were changed at the pre-school but my fearless heart has not. As a U.S. Marine, I have always felt the same about my brothers and sisters while serving in the combat zone as well as in garrison. I will do the same for the people in my district while serving as Assemblyman.
My very first job was at Thom McAn Shoes. I was approximately 16 years old and in high school. I worked there for two years and learned the value of balancing my studies and working while playing sports. I was very luck and understood that hard work and not being afraid to want more is essential for growth.
The ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is when the two bodies can work our differences, move legislation that is for the benefit of our people, and communicate in a way that is conducive to the growth and sustainment of this great state!
Yes and no. Some state legislators simply stay too long. They can become out of touch with the people they serve and actually try to operate without the consent of the people in sensitive matters. Experienced legislators understand "how it works" and can move legislative matters through the process faster.
I do indeed. We are all in this together. We need to communicate with one another in order to make decisions with the full picture in view. Building relationships makes for better communication when reaching out to others.
I favor the hybrid method for redistricting. Legislators and a commissioning body sharing in the decision making simply makes sense.
-Jobs, Economic Development and Economy

-Military and Veterans Affairs
-Education

-Labor and Employment
Homelessness stories are always memorable. I've heard several stories of homelessness in my area some of which are Veterans. It pains me to see them in their situation and drives me to put myself in a position to help.
Yes. I believe so. However, the Governor may need to act sooner than an over-site board could be convened.
Compromise is necessary! We have to be able to compromise in decision making sometimes in efforts to move things forward and helping the people we serve!
