A Marshall County School Sales Tax Increase measure was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in Marshall County, where it was defeated.
This measure sought to increase the county sales tax to a rate of 7.25 percent in order to give additional funds to Henry-Senachwine, Midland and Fieldcrest schools. The additional money would have helped maintain school facilities. Funds would have been distributed to the schools based on student population.[1]
