  • Infrastructure. District 56 has a proud history of creating jobs that make it possible for families to thrive close to home. We need leadership that understands how to continue building on that foundation, expanding opportunity for all and ensuring the next generation can stay, succeed, and contribute to the future of our communities. I’ve had the chance to be part of building the infrastructure in most of the communities in the District, and I want others to have those same opportunities, opportunities that spark growth in industries like clean energy, manufacturing, and logistics. These improvements don't just move goods, they move people forward.
  • Education. Our communities thrive when our kids thrive. Supporting and investing in public education is one of the most powerful ways we can build a community where everyone has the chance to succeed. I’m committed to expanding access to high-quality early care and education, and fully funding school nutrition programs, because children thrive when they are nourished and ready to learn. Advocating for the kids and families of this district will help us build a safer, healthier, and more connected communities.
  • Healthcare. Across this beautiful district people are weighed down by healthcare needs and access to care. Too many can't find the care they need or pay for it. Medicaid cuts are limiting where and when care can be delivered, if at all. I will fight for robust funding and essential reforms that protect access to care and ensure no one is left behind. Healthier families build stronger communities, where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and thrive.
Infrastructure is my bread and butter. I have worked as a Civil Engineer for more than 30 years. I know everything from the idea through to the end result. I know that once elected I will be able to make a tangible impact in getting infrastructure projects flowing again in my district.

I am also super passionate about LGBTQ+ rights. My eldest son and his wife are both trans. Another one of my sons is gay. The rights of queer people, especially the trans community, is always top of mind for me, and something I cannot and will not back down on. The trans community is under attack right now and I am proud to stand as a defender of and advocate for them.
