Martha D. Newton is a probate judge for Anderson County, South Carolina.[1] Newton was first elected to this position in 1983.[2] She was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires in 2018.[3]

Newton attended Tri County Technical College and Forrest College. She also has a degree in textile designing from International Correspondence School.[2]
Career
Prior to her election as judge, she worked at the Anderson County Probate Court from 1977 to 1983. Before that, she worked at Starr Mills.[2]
