Martha Fluor was a member of the Newport-Mesa Unified Board of Education in California, representing Trustee Area 3. Fluor assumed office in 1991. Fluor left office on December 11, 2020.
Fluor ran for election to the Orange County Board of Education to represent District 2 in California. Fluor lost in the general election on June 7, 2022.

2016
Three of the seven seats on the Newport-Mesa Unified School District Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. In her bid for re-election to Trustee Area 1, incumbent Vicki Snell faced challenger Michael Schwarzmann. Trustee Area 3 incumbent Martha Fluor ran against challenger Amy Peters. The Trustee Area 6 race featured incumbent Dana Black and challenger Leslie Bubb.[1] All three incumbents won re-election to the board.[2]
