Martha Lynn Sherrod
Martha Lynn Sherrod was a judge of the Madison County District Court in Alabama. She was appointed to the court in 1999 and served until her retirement in January 2013.[1][2]
Education
Sherrod received her undergraduate degree from Fiske University and her J.D. from the University of Alabama.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Sherrod worked in private practice and as a prosecutor and municipal court judge.[1]
2012 election
Sherrod ran for a seat on the Circuit 23 Court. She was unopposed in the Democratic primary but was defeated by Christian M. Comer in the general election, receiving 44.53% of the vote.[3]
