Martha Schrader
Martha Schrader is a former Democratic member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 20 from her appointment in January 2009 to 2011. Schrader served as Commissioner for Clackamas County, Oregon from 2003 to 2009. She was a candidate for the Oregon House of Representatives in 2002 but was not elected.
Biography
Schrader earned her B.S. from Cornell University, her M.S. in Entomology from the University of Illinois and then earned her M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from Portland State University. Her professional experience includes working as librarian and community grant worker, as the Chief Legislative Assistant for Oregon State Representative Kurt Schrader and as the owner of Three Rivers Farm.

Schrader lost her bid for re-election to the Oregon State Senate against challenger Alan Olsen (R). Schrader was unopposed in the Democratic primary election on May 18, 2010.[1] The general election took place on November 2, 2010, and recount results showed that Schrader trailed her Republican opponent, Alan Olsen, by 227 votes.[2]
