Marti Crow
Marti Crow was a Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 41st District. She served from 1997-2011.
Crow is an attorney/parter with Crow, Clothier, Bates and Associates. She previously worked as an environmental planning consultant with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and an attorney with the Kansas Department of Revenue. She has a Bachelor's degree from Baker University and J.D. from Washburn Law School.
Prior to her election to the House, Crow served on the USD 453 Board of Education (1983-1996), Leavenworth City Board of Zoning Appeals (1978-1990/1993-1996), and Leavenworth City Planning Commission (1978-1990/1993-1996).[1]
Policy Positions
Crow's official website lists her main issues as Guantanamo detainees, family, health care, and education.[2]
Crow refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[3]

On November 4, 2008, Crow was re-elected to the 41st District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives, defeating Jana Taylor Goodman (R).[5] Crow raised $25,698 for her campaign, while Goodman raised $5,773.[6]
