Martin Colin was a judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected to the court on August 31, 2004, and took office the following January. He was retained in the August 24, 2010, primary election to a six-year term that ended on January 2, 2017.[1][2][3]

Education

Colin was born in Newark, N.J. on September 30, 1949. He received his B.A. degree from American University in 1971 and his J.D. degree from Rutgers Law School in 1974.[4][5]

Career

Colin began his career as a clerk for the firm of Arnold & Porter and for a U.S. Attorney. In 1974, he moved to Florida and began working at the Palm Beach County Public Defender's Office. He became the Chief of the Felony Division in that office. In 1977, he became a private practice lawyer. He was a sole practitioner from 1992 until he was elected to the circuit court in 2004.[4]

2010 election

Colin ran unopposed and was automatically retained to a new term.[2]
