Martin Malave Dilan
Martin Malave Dilan (Democratic Party) was a member of the New York State Senate, representing District 18. Dilan assumed office in 2003. Dilan left office on January 1, 2019.
Dilan (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the New York State Senate to represent District 18. Dilan lost in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2018.
He was first elected to the chamber in 2002. As of the 2014 session, he served as assistant Democratic conference leader for policy and administration. He previously served as assistant minority leader.
Biography
Dilan was in the special baccalaureate degree program at Brooklyn College. His professional experience includes being a member/former chair of Community School Board #32, serving as a councilmember on the New York City Council from 1992 to 2001, as a delegate at the Democratic National Convention in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004, as Democratic state committeeman for the 54th Assembly District, and as a Democratic district leader.[1]
