Martin Ignatius Welsh (1882-1953) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

He was nominated by President Franklin Roosevelt on June 21, 1939 to a seat created by 52 Stat. 584. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 11, 1939, and received commission on July 14th. On December 31, 1946, he assumed senior status. He served on this court until his death on January 4, 1953. Welsh was succeeded in this position by Dal Lemmon.
